What will be new on the 2018 Ford Mustang?

The latest version of one of the most iconic sports cars ever made has just been revealed. The 2018 Mustang has just been revealed by Ford. Several updates and revisions have been made to the Mustang for the new model year. So what will be new on the 2018 Ford Mustang?

2018 Ford Mustang New Engine Options

Two engines will be offered on the 2018 Ford Mustang. Standard equipment now includes Ford’s 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine. On past models, this engine has been able to break both the 30 mile per gallon mark and the the 300 horsepower mark.

Ford’s 5.0-liter V-8 engine also makes its return to the Mustang. The engine has been reworked and revised for the new car, adding to the power and performance. Both engines will be paired with Ford’s new 10-speed automatic transmission. This new transmission made its debut on the F-150 and helps to maximize the performance of both engines.

New Ford Mustang Technology Systems

Several new technologies will be making their debut on the Mustang. The car will now come equipped with a 12-inch all-digital LCD dashboard display. The display can be customized and personalized for normal, track and sport driving modes.

Several driver-assist technologies have been added to the Mustang for the first time. The car can now be equipped with Pre-Collision Assist with pedestrian detection, distance alert, lane-departure warnings, lane-keeping assist and the Driver Alert System.

2018 Mustang models will also offer the Ford SYNC Connect with FordPass. The FordPass app allows drivers to remotely start, lock, unlock and locate their car.
